Ian Watkins admits baby rape attempts
Ian Watkins, a British rock singer, felt guity to the attempted rape of a small baby and of other child sex offences. Watkins, 36, whose popular band sold many albums around the globe, sexually abused the 1 year old and encouraged a fan to abuse
her own kid during a video chat. Tattooed Watkins, who wore a suit and tie in the dock, was charged with rape during a drug-fuelled binge at a London hotel, but told sex with the child did not happen. He felt guilty to 11 charges on Tuesday, including 2 of
attempted baby rape and others involving possessing and making images of
sexual abuse and conspiracy to rape. Watkins is due to be jailed in December. Lostprophets, who formed in 1997 and had a collection of gold
albums in the US and platinum albums in Britain, disbanded this
year after Watkins was charged.
